Position
Summary:
Reporting to the Head Merchandiser and/or Sales Manager, our Merchandising Professionals work in teams (typically of 2), to provide advantageous merchandising within our retail customers' stores on a daily basis based on a merchandising schedule, provided by the Distribution Center's Sales Manager and/or Head Merchandiser.
Our merchandising visits use the terminology of a reset, in which our teams go into our retail customers' stores to do different projects of new store layouts, Space-to-sales analysis, or simple re-tagging projects - based on the scope of the customers' needs.
Duties include:
Set and tags merchandise in customer store(s) Marketing product on store shelves with the aid of plan-o-grams Recommends and incorporates new product lines to store sets Authorizes and documents the return of un-saleable product for customer credit Assist, when necessary, in the delivery or pick-up of product Maintains the inventory of all merchandising supplies Communicates with team leaders and managers of the store to work out the floor layout and display points, needed expansion of key categories, as well as how and what items are to be displayed Responsible for the presentation and replenishment of merchandise in assigned location(s) Ensures that merchandise is displayed, rotated and correct signage is present Monitors stock status and replenishing needs Ensures that floors and shelves are free of debris and trash Learn group plan-o-grams for proper merchandising in accounts All other duties and projects as assigned Position Requirements:
Sales and/or merchandising experience preferred in grocery, convenience store, or other retail industries (1
years) Strong communication skills Ability to work in a team setting with minimum supervision Ability to adapt quickly to frequent changes in schedule based upon customer needs Excellent problem-solving abilities Possible overnight travel, depending on business needs (should be rare) Must have a valid driver's license Willingness to travel (driving) to retail locations and areas within your coverage (roughly 2 hour drive radius) Company vehicle provided with gas card Physical Requirements:
Ability to pass Pre-Employment testing, drug test, and physical Prolonged periods of driving, sitting, walking, bending, and standing Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time on occasion Benefit Package Includes:
