Director Full Time-Salaried Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Two to four years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience including basic knowledge of electricity, mechanical equipment, plumbing, and hospital safety.
Must be willing to take call and prefer that you live within 20 minutes of Opp, AL.
Computer experience required.
Current driver's license required.
Duties Include:
Directly supervises 2 to 3 employees in the Plant Operations Department.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Managing the daily operation and inspection of all mechanical systems, PM's, renovation, and work order scheduling as to priorities, safety regulations, care of tools and equipment and judicious use of materials, supplies, and man-hours.
Ability to work under emergency conditions and in difficult situations, and with due consideration for patients in vicinity.
Manual duties will be required.
He/she is directly responsible to the administrator for the continuity of in-house maintenance, preventive maintenance program and work order scheduling and renovation of the hospital complex.
He/she will perform and supervise a variety of semi-skilled jobs involving all mechanical and structural systems and must be willing to assist other trades in the maintenance department when the need arises.
Other duties, not limited to plant operations and maintenance, as assigned or directed by persons having authority by position or assignment by the Administrator.
