Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist.
Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
Repackages bulk medications.
Receives and stores incoming supplies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Credential(s):
BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. BLS Healthcare Provider is not required at SHHP or SHHG.
Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
HS or Equivalent
High School or Equivalent required Graduate of an approved Pharmacy Technician training program or experience meeting state requirements required and One year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Training in IV Admixture preparation preferred. One year of experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician is required to work PRN.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
